Bandwidth usage when listening to Spotify on Sonos

Is there any way to control the bandwidth usage when listening to Spotify via Sonos? I am using a mobile connection with a monthly cap of 7 GB.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

I am going to pop your topic over into the "Other" section since that is where Sonos issues are normally discussed. 

As far as I am aware, there is no way to control or limit the bandwidth on Sonos (from a quick google search), but someone who owns one might be able to tell you more! 

I would suggest also asking sonos support to see if they have any ideas 😉

Sonos support quickly came back with an answer. The Sonos controller cannot limit the bandwidth usage.

When setting up the Spotify service in Sonos, I provide Spotify login credentials so I am wondering if it is possible to implement the limitation in Spotify? It is acceptable for me to apply the bandwidth limitation across listening devices.

I don't know of any way you can do this in Spotify. 

However, the Sonos application won't be using p2p technology like the desktop client, so it will only use bandwidth for what you are streaming (at 320kbps for premium).
