Blocked User’s Private Playlist on my recently played

Blocked User’s Private Playlist on my recently played

So my ex and I broke up, I used to be on her Spotify family account but was removed. I blocked her on Spotify as well but today in my recently played tab was one of her private playlists. I was able to click on it and see all of the songs on the playlist, even though I have no recollection of her sharing the playlist with me. It also didn’t show up when I unblocked her profile and went to her account, so I know the playlist is private. How did it end up on my recently played list? I had her blocked and I hadn’t liked the playlist/had it saved at all?

Hey there @user-removed,

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

Keep in mind that by blocking someone, you prevent them from viewing your Spotify profile, which includes the content of your own playlists. However, since you're seeing their playlist on your own account, it's a good idea to check so that you're the only one who has access to your account.

For example, if your account is linked to a voice assistant, such as an Alexa or a Google device, it might be accidentally used by others if they have access to the connected speaker and ask it to play something on Spotify.

What you can do in this case, is to follow the steps under Still have access to your account? on this page. Make sure to remove any 3rd party apps that you don't recognize or that could be interfering from your account page as well. You only need to log back in to the service(s) you've removed to relink them to Spotify again.

Hope this helps! We're just a post away if there's anything else.
