My Question or Issue

Just bought a new Acer R11 Chromebook. Using the Chrome browser, when I try to use Spotify web player, I get the following message "This browser doesn't support Spotify Web Player. Switch browsers or download spotify to your desktop." Obviously, I can't download Spotify to my desktop on a Chromebook, but I should be able to use the web player fine since I'm using the Chrome browser - which states it is supported. See attached screenshot. So why can't I use the web player through the latest version of the Chrome browser?

Hey @malibu0822

What happens if you try opening the web player in an incognito window?

Keep in mind that the browser needs to be up-to-date. The version of you browser needs to be at least v. 59.

Try switching internet connections as well to see if that helps.

Let us know how that goes 🙂

I'm having the same issue with my new Chromebook (same as yours too!) did you get this solved?

Same problem with me. Driving me nuts without any music!!!!!
