My Question or Issue

Things had been going smoothly for a while. Connect had been working as expected until a recent update. I noticed that if I logged out or my computer restarted, restarting the desktop application, that Connect stopped working. In essence I could be listening to music independantly on my two devices, which is what I don't want. I want to be able to listen on my phone and control it from my desktop & visa-versa.

I have uninstalled and re-downloaded the application upwards of 15 times thinking that I was doing something wrong on the PC, I have also deleted the app on my phone and re-installed it that doesn't work. I restart the computer and phone each time I have done that. I've tried going offline on both devices and back with no help. The only thing that worked in the past, and promptly stopped when my computer gets restarted, is to re-install a much older version of Spotify. I just tested this and this work around no longer works.

 

My devices are on the same network
