Crossfade Failure Complaint

Crossfade Failure Complaint

Suddenly about a week ago I'm getting crossfade between tracks in my playlist despite that settings option being switched off. Can you fix it? This is a borderline complaint.

Hi, @Studio131,

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Interesting. What device does this occur on? Have you tested if the same behavior is present on any other of your devices? There was a recent issue with the Mixed Playlists feature where desktop users weren't able to toggle it off, if that's what you meant. This should be resolved with the latest version of the app, so try updating it in case you haven't yet.

You mentioned that this occurs with your playlists, but just to confirm, are you referring to playlists you've personally created or any playlists you've saved in Your Library? Something that might be causing this behavior is the Automix feature - it creates smooth transitions in select Spotify playlists. You can turn it off in the app's settings.

In case you meant something else entirely, it's worth performing a clean reinstall of Spotify on your device - this will get rid of any potentially corrupted cache and ensure you're running the latest updates. Should the issue persist, a short screen recording which captures it in action would be greatly appreciated - just make sure to cover any sensitive info such as your username, email, etc.

Cheers 🤘
