Desktop app will only show me popular podcasts

My Question or Issue

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to browse podcasts, but in the desktop app as well as the web-application I can only see popular podcasts. Is it possible to browse all podcasts on spotify or do I have to know the exact name of a podcast I'd like to listen to?

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community!

You can browse all the podcasts available from each category. To do it, you just have to follow these simple steps:

1. Select Search from the left side bar.
2. In the section Browse all, select Podcasts.
3. There, at the bottom, you can find Categories. You can select See all at the right to find all the categories available.
4. From each Category, you can find the same See all button to browse all the available podcasts there.

These steps apply for both, desktop app and web player. Of course you can search for a specific podcast just by typing the name on the search bar as well 🙂

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, this is what I was doing all along. It will only show me the popular podcasts for each category. I can only find other podcasts by searching them directly by name.

It's not currently possible to get a full list of all podcasts available on Spotify if that's what you were looking for. In case you'd like to see this as a feature in the app, feel free to share your feedback over on our Ideas board - just make sure to familiarize yourself with our Idea Exchange Guidelines first.

The best way to discover new content is to enter a keyword into the search bar in the app, then filter the results so that only Podcasts & Shows are displayed. You can also check out this article for some tips and tricks on how to get the best search results.
