Device cant play any music

Device cant play any music

For some reason I cant play music with my audio technica ath-m50x headphones right away I need to change my default do device to something else first and start a song then I when the song is playing I have to change the device back to my headphones. I think this has something to do with my sound card (Asus xonar DG).

Hey there @Woltti!

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community! We'll be happy to help you sort this out.

Can you let us know on what device you're having this issue and your Spotify version?

You could start with a clean reinstall of Spotify with the steps here to make sure that all old files that might be causing trouble are gone.

It's also important that you re-download it from the Microsoft store if you're using the app on a Windows 10 computer.

Give your device a quick restart before you start the newly installed app.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply. Let us know if you have any other questions.
