Download song as MP3

Is there a way to save downloaded songs as MP3? I have swimming headphones that only use MP3 as Bluetooth is ineffective underwater. Is there a resource on how to do this?

I want to download MP3 files from Spotify to my computer so that I can upload them to a headphone device to listen whilst swimming.  How do I do that please?

It'd be good if we could have an option with songs that have been released for more than 24 hours that'd let us download a song in MP3 format.
