Embedded Music only Plays for 30 seconds (and opens spotify player)

I embedded a track on my website, but when I click the play button it only plays a sample, even though I have the Spotify app. Also, on my phone when I tap the play button on the website it opens the app. I want the full song to play on the website and not open the app, but rather play it in the background. I don't understand why the website doesn't recognize that I have the app on my desktop and only plays a sample. I can understand for those who don't have the app, but this kind of defeats the purpose of embedding the track, doesn't it?
