My Question or Issue

When I try to go to https://open.spotify.com/collection/playlists I get the error "Enable secure playback in your browser". I tried using @SpotifyCares on Twitter but they have been no help. I've tried different browsers and clearing cache/cookies. I do not have the option to try a different network or reset the router.

there's really not much you can do with google's malfunctioning chrome DRM, it's not spotify's software and it's designed to be as much of an opaque black box as possible.

google doesn't want you reverse engineering it. but reverse engineering is the first stage of repair. and the only posssible fail state of DRM is completely breaking the program.

hurling vitriol at volunteers because of google DRM that microsoft broke with a windows 10 update just isn't fair. blame microsoft, blame google, blame big music labels, don't blame spotify tech support.

Had the same issue on firefox on windows and mine got solved by installing windows media feature pack.

you can get it from at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/mediafeaturepack

You have to install a specific version for a specific windows version, you can check it out at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3145500/media-feature-pack-list-for-windows-n-editions

Please note that after installing you do have to restart your machine.

Thank you! Didn’t realise this was just an issue with running an ‘N’ edition of Windows
