Episodes playing backwards

Hi! I have a similar problem to the one it this post: https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/podcasts-shows-in-reverse-order/td-p/1230489 only I have the date correctly put in, the episodes are oldest to newest - yet still when i click play on a certain episode, say, episode 40, the next ones in queue are ep39, 38 and so on

i have to start the episodes from my phone where it works correctly, but it a pain in the **bleep**

how can i fix it?
