Error message when searching for songs on BOTH iPhones and Mac

I am getting an error message every time I try to search for a song on both my iPhone and my Mac. Both devices are completely up to date, have plenty of storage, plenty of battery and I've restarted both. 

I'm brand new to Spotify and currently using my 7 day free trial. I know for sure that it isn't used up yet, I was going to purchase my premium membership but if my last few free days are wasted I won't.
