Exporting Last.fm playlists to Spotify

The export of playlists created on Last.fm to Spotify works again, it was broken some months ago. This feature is useful e.g. for your Top 100 Tracks of 2024 which you can create with the related template in the Playlists section of Last.fm based on your Last.year 2024 listening report: Last.year Your biggest tracks of the year

You can also import Spotify playlists in your Last.fm account e.g. as a backup of your  own playlists, but they cannot be edited there, so any changes like title etc. should be done before the import. Also Discover Weekly and Release Radar cannot be directly imported anymore which was possible in the past and probably changed with the Spotify API changes announced last November. A possible workaround would be saving these Spotify created playlists to a new playlist and import that one. You could also change the title and description then by adding the specific week.

As the export of Last.fm playlists to Spotify is broken again, it's good to know that the online playlist converter Soundiiz can now read your created Last.fm playlists and transfer them for free to Spotify and any other of their supported streaming sites. This is not only useful for your Top Tracks of your Last.week, Last.month and Last.year listening reports, but also for your personalised radio stations like Library, Mix and Recommendations which also have a playlist template. Similar artists and tracks are available as well and tags/genres.

yes it is broken now sadly 2025-07-11
