My Question or Issue

 

I DO NOT WANT SPOTIFY TO START PLAYING AS SOON AS MY PHONE CONNECTS TO MY CAR'S BLUETOOTH AND THERE IS NO WAY TO STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING. 

 

It has been over FOUR years of users asking to have this issue resolved. Responders tell us OVER AND OVER that "it's just part of how the app functions" and "we will pass these concerns on to developers", which after YEARS of inaction towards this problem is lazy and disingenuous. Not to mention being told to take these complaints to the phone manufacturers when a simple search through these forums will show this is 100000% a SPOTIFY problem, NOT an Apple problem, NOT an Android problem, NOT a Motorola problem, etc.

 

Then there is all the awful "advice" for how to resolve this like "just turn off your Bluetooth on your phone" (NO, I will not. I'll cancel my subscription and delete Spotify before I turn off all of my Bluetooth just to fix this bs.) or "turn off background data" (Which has nothing at all to do with the issue I'm having.)

 

I'm honestly ready to just cancel my subscription and delete Spotify. YouTube music has better functionality, better support, and their app isn't a complete nightmare to use.
