FireTV won't play personal music / says "restricted content"

FireTV won't play personal music / says "restricted content"

Device. iPhone SE. 15.3.1

Operating System. MacOS Monterey. 12.2.1.

FireTV Gen 2. Spotify App 1.52

 

My Question or Issue:   I uploaded CDs of music not available on Spotify to my desktop and then connected the music/playlists to my iPhone.  So far so good.  I can listen to the music on my phone and in my car with CarPlay.  I then opened up my FireTV and none of the music will play.  All the tracks say "restricted content."  Tried restarting and reloading Spotify on the FireTV stick but no change.  Is there a fix to this issue?  I searched the forums and online but didn't come across this issue.

Thank you for posting on the Community.

 

At the moment, local files aren't available in TVs. However, we suggest searching in our Ideas board to see if anyone has suggested a similar idea. If there aren't any, you can submit your own idea with the steps you'll find here, so other users can then vote for it and add to the conversation to show their support.

Thank you for your response. Much appreciated.  

 

It's a pity that Spotify is universal across platforms.  In my case, my "TV" is my "stereo, radio, podcast" player, so as much as I am all in on Spotify, its a problem that it doesn't  work at premium capacity for home use.
