How does Spotify Pay

So I'm confused on how this all works. I've read the article/link that explains it but I don't know... Do they pay .006 per stream per say and pay what a song/artist has made at the end of the month or can you withdrawal payments whenever?

Please help! Because with research I've found Beats pays 1.8 per stream. Why would I stick with Spotify if Beats pay out is more and makes more sense??
