How to stay online on WiFi only - disable Cellular in Spotify

I have spent hours on this... posting to several other boards getting the same wrong answer.  I have the Spotify app for Windows Phone 8.1.  The app works really well except that it will automatically jump back to cellular without notifying me and eat up my data plan.

I can start my session on WiFi but over time my signal may get weak or interference so Spotify app jumps on my cellular connection and puts me in the poor house.   Why can't I simply stay Online but set it to WiFi only?  If the WiFi signal is too weak then I won't listen to music.  Period.

Several folks have suggested I go to Offlilne mode, but that is not what I want.  I want to stay Online on WiFi.

Please advise.  Thanks in advance.

WP has option, somewhere in the settings, to allow the cellular data to be used in case of limited Wifi connectivity. Maybe check to see if it is set?
