Inconsistent scrobbling over the past few days

Spotify scrobbling has gotten really flakey over the past few days. It started with local files scrobbling about only half the time (like in <https://community.spotify.com/t5/Other-Partners-Web-Player-etc/Spotify-not-always-scrobbling-local-f...> and <https://community.spotify.com/t5/Ongoing-Issues/Desktop-app-won-t-Scrobble-all-Local-Files-to-Last-f...>), but as of today, even songs from Spotify's catalogue are failing to scrobble properly, with tracks occasionally being submitted out of order or sequential tracks being submitted with the same timestamp. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the integration between Last.fm and Spotify, to no avail.

Desktop version (on macOS) is 1.1.36.734.g8731c306 and mobile version (on iOS) is 8.5.60.881, though I believe this started spontaneously and not as a result of any recent client update.

So, as of today, it seems like things are back to normal, with streamed and local files scrobbling correctly. 🤷🏻‍♂️
