Issue with Spotify in BMW using native iDrive 8.5 app

Issue

Spotify stopped working in my BMW car using tha native app (not Carplay). I get the error "Spotify not available. Please check your online connection and your login data and ensure that you are using a Spotify-Premium account". Error message in German: "Spotify nicht verfügbar. Bitte prüfen Sie Ihre Online-Verbindung sowie Ihre Anmelededaten und stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie einen Spotify Premium-Account nutzen."

Needless to say, the car is online, the login info is correct, and I have a premium account.

Problem solved. Updated apps in the BMW with the iDrive function "Update Apps and Services". That fixed the issue.
