Lg Smart Tv Spotify app is useless

Is there any reason why I have to have a premium account just to even go on the Spotify Lg Smart Tv app? I simply wanna stream these Metallica landmark videos from my ios app to the tv, but I can't because I need a premium membership. I thought I could do it on the ps3 app, but no, apparently it can't view videos and all it does is play music on the ps3. I really wanted to put it on the tv instead of everyone huddling around my tiny phone or the small desktop computer space, can anyone help me?
