Local Files showing in Local Files section but not Albums/Artists section.

Hi,

I am using Spotify for desktop on Mac and I am trying to convert somewhat over to Spotify and consolidate my music rather than flitting between online music and my local music (Spotify and iTune).

So I have worked out how to import my local music files to Spotify and they show in the Local Files section on the left-hand sidebar. However. The music does not appear in artists. albums and songs sections above that under the 'My Music Heading'.

This means that my local music files are in one incredibly long list. But I want to be able to select the Album or Artist feature (like you can in iTunes) that has an image thumbnail for each artist.

Sorry, but the albums/artists/songs sections don't support local files.

To view and manage local files you will have to use the "Local Files" section.

If you would like Spotify to add more support for local files, then support this idea by adding a kudo:
