Logitech Squeezebox: Parsing Error when logging into spotify using device password.

I followed the procedure to create an additional password for partner devices.  This password for security includes capital letters, lower case letters, numbers and some special symbols.  When I enter this new password into my Logitech Squeezebox I get a "parsing error".
