My Question or Issue

I've been unable to play music on my Xbox today. I can listen on my phone, but when I connect to play through my Xbox, there's is no audio and songs skip to the next track after a few seconds.

A music video played without sound, and I can listen to podcasts through the Xbox, to make things more confusing.

I've hard reset the console, uninstalled the app twice and logged in and out

My Question or Issue

I was listening to Spotify through my Bluesound Node Icon this morning while working when all of a sudden it started skipping songs until it crashed completely. I tried everything I could find on various guides. Here is what I tried:

  • Restarting router
  • Reinstalling Spotify and Bluesound apps
  • Factory resetting Bluesound Node Icon

Keep in mind, this device has been playing flawlessly for months, and there were no new updates to my knowledge. If I tried connecting through the Spotify app, it would show the same skipping error and sometimes land on a track, but nothing would show on the Node Icon. There was one thing that worked to get it playing, but I would not accept as a complete solution. I tried changing the media playback quality to something lower than lossless, and the Node Icon started playing through my speakers once again. I already submitted a ticket to the Bluesound team moments ago, and I figured I'd post here to see if Spotify could look into this. If there is an actual ticket system, please let me know where I should post this information.

My Question or Issue

when I use Spotify Connect to play on my Wii Ultra, after few seconds it skips to the next song. This only happens in lossless quality, not all the others (High, etc., work fine).

I have this as well. I isolated ot to using connect with lossless playback enabled to both a Wiim device and two different Nvidia TV Shields (Android TV) The playback has no sound and just skips

I am experiencing the same. Lossless playback not working on devices via connect. Setting playback quality to Auto allows playback. My devices are Wiim,  Nvidia TV Shield and Shield Pro connected to HiFi audio and Home Theater equipment. The symptom is continuous skipping of songs.

further detail this started today. December 16th 2025 early in the morning after the big outage on Dec. 15th. I listen to music with coffee post waking.  I started my audio system and Nvidia TV Shield opened the SPotify app and started playing a playlist and playback skipped to the next song with no audio after a few seconds. After clearing cache, rebooting, reinstalling app, I tried again. Also tried on Living Room Nvidia TV Shield Pro same result. Also tried  playback on Wiim to 2.0 HiFi audio systems same result. I then tried setting quality to AUTO and all systems worked fine playing back Lossless audio. Both the Wiim and Nvidia Android TV devices.

I have exactly the same problem at the moment, but on other devices: wiim pro and a Denon Receiver (AVR-X2800H)

It happens to me as well. Only with Spotify connect (started on Android 15) and not working on lossless for multiple devices (wiim pro and denon avr-x2800h)

Spotify has not promised lossless Connect to anyone. Spotify either shut down the test, changed the stream format, or removed lossless support from the test group.

I'll chime in with a me too on this.  Any playlist just skips through the songs with no audio at all.

Seeing the same here too.

All spotify connect lossless devices not playing.

However, phone and laptop do work playing lossless.

Maybe...they turned it off due to the outage yesterday?

UPDATE - Appears to have started working again now (at least for me).

looks like it is working now....

Spotify app on my phone is reporting that my Wiim is playing Lossless content. Testing the playback on Android TV via Nvidia TV Shield...is working as well.

Hi there everyone,

Thanks for letting us know about this.

We can confirm there was a brief hiccup with the systems that caused Connect not to function properly, especially with Lossless quality. Our testing shows that this should all be resolved now and everything should be working as expected once again.

If you're still facing such issues, let us know so we can assist you further.

Cheers!

Ditto...mine started working a bit ago.

Hey, @cesarelam
Welcome to the Spotify Community, and thanks for reaching out to us here!

It seems there was a global issue with Connect yesterday, but it should be fixed now. Could you double-check if it's functioning properly again, please?

Stay awesome!

Let me know if you have further questions or need anything else! I'd love to help!
