Lossless not available anymore when using spotify connect. Works for iphone and mac, but not on devices. Worked great since launce, stopped working today
Hi.
I still have the same problem. when connecting lossless with connect it skips between 5-6 songs then no sound.
If i switch to high quality it works. airplay works with lossless though.
Any suggestions on how I can solve this?
My girlfriend can play lossless via connect on the same equipment. I can't play from either phone or ipad. So it seems to be linked to the account?

When connecting lossless with Connect it skips between 5-6 songs automatically, with no sound.
If i switch to high quality it works, and airplay works with lossless though.
I guess the issue is still around ?

I did everything you asked. still doesn't work. Is it network related when it works on my partner's phone on the same network but not on mine?
The only difference is different spotify accounts?
on my ipad with an older app version of spotify it doesn't work either.

I did an experiment. Logged into my partner's spotify account on my device. then lossles and connect works.
So my spotify account on my phone lossless does not work with connect.
My phone my partner's spotify account then works lossless with connect.
So it is spotify account related.
I've a same type of issue here, denon avr won't play in loseless anymore with connect . No pb with ogg vorbis. Spotify app on mac working well in loseless.
Same problem with me, Spotify connect doesn’t play lossless so I have to select hq mp3 instead of lossless at my Marantz receiver (heos) or my Bluesound node 2i streamer.
Same here, no lossless possible on AV Receiver or Wiim streamer. Max 320 kbit.
In short: Contrary to Spotify's statement, the problem is far from solved.
I've had this problem with my Marantz PM7000n since yesterday. So the problem definitely hasn't been solved.

I am a user from Taiwan. Since December 20th, I have encountered a persistent issue when using Spotify Connect with my WiiM Pro streamer.
Below are the details of the technical problem:
Problem Description
Issue: Music fails to play when the audio quality is set to Lossless/HiFi.
Temporary Workaround: Playback works normally if I manually lower the quality to 320kbps.
Environment: This occurs specifically when using Spotify Connect to cast music to the WiiM Pro.
[Troubleshooting Performed] I have followed the official troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists:
Cleared the app cache.
Reinstalled the Spotify App on my Android device.
Signed out and back into my account.
[Reason for Suspecting Spotify Connect] I believe the issue is related to the Spotify Connect protocol because:
Cross-Platform Check: Lossless audio plays perfectly on my PC and Smartphone local speakers.
Competitor Check: Tidal Connect works flawlessly with High-Res audio on the same WiiM Pro device.
Could you please investigate if there is a compatibility issue or a bug in the recent update affecting Spotify Connect?
Since yesterday, Spotify Connect Lossless does not work on Cyrus Classic streamer. Worked fine before.

Hi, I have same problem as described by others (not playing loseless via connect, weird song skipping) on Lyngdorf 1120, so the situation has affected people regardless of the hardware you're using. Lower quality playback works just fine.
I started to have this kind of problem yesterday. When starting to play with connect to WiimPro, spotify skips random songs and starts to play something, but no sound (using mobile app). Same happens when using PC.
My wifes mobile app works normally, when playing through Wiim. Also tested my wifes account on PC and it works normally played through Wiim.
My setup is WiimPro-DAC-amp-speakers. Wiim an PC connected to local network with ethernet cable.
Playback works normally if I'm listening on PC headphones, earbuds or bluetooth speaker. But not with Wiim setup and the problems occur only with my account on two different devices. So I'm quite sure there'e no problem on my home setup.
Is this maybe account related?
I have the same problem since friday - lossless stopped working on all my Denon HEOS devices (took me two days to figure out, that it's an issue with lossless...). And I'd also say it is definitely account related, since my girlfriend can play lossless without any problem on her Denon CEOL.
Same problem with my Wiim Pro Plus at Indonesia since Friday, it also happened at Tuesday 16th Dec and returned to normal after several hours.
Any update for this case?
