Mobile spotify app won't recognize my Echo Dot

My Question or Issue

Until yesterday morning, I could easily use my Galaxy S8 as a remote control. I could play Spotify (Premium) songs on my Echo Dot. The device was always seen.

Now, it's NOT seen. Spotify takes me to a page (on my phone) that tells me to connect to a device. Echo. is not an option.

I went through a long drawn out trouble shoot with an Echo agent last night. No success.

Any experiencing a similar issue?

Like I said, it worked fine until yesterday morning. I've altered nothing on the phone.
