Music logging through Sonos

Does Spotify log/register the music I play from my Spotify account through the Sonos apps?

I really like Discover Monday and Year In Music from Spotify, and want all my plays to be logged for precise recommendations every monday and look back next year. So does this work on Sonos, or do I have to stream directly from a Spotify app?

I have now been using spotify through Sonos for about 3 months. Clearly Discover Weekly ignores what I listen through Sonos. What 's happening Spotify?  I was a spotify beta tester in Sonos which has now stopped but the functionality of Spotify is very poor in Sonos. Cannot even organise paylusts. Sonos blame spotify and vice versa. However it is the Spotify brand that will suffer.
