Music not being sent to my Spotify Message Box

So when other users send me a song, the song only goes to my facebook inbox and not my Spotify message inbox.  My facebook account is not even linked up to Spotify.  How can I get the songs sent to the Spotify message inbox?

Are people definitely sending tracks to you, using your Spotify username?

It's not overly uncommon for people to accidentally have two profiles, one with a Spotify username and another with Facebook which is a separate account.
