I can hear the audio books and music on my phone but once I connect to vehicles stereo I can't hear anything

Could you give the steps under Not working? on this page a shot? It's possible that it might help in your case.

Shouldn't that do the trick, can you let us know how you connect to the stereo? For example, are you using Bluetooth?

If possible, can you also try connecting another device to the stereo to see if the same thing happens?

I have a similar problem and have tried all the steps outlined to fix it to no avail. Getting close to cancelling my subscription!!!

We understand you've followed some troubleshooting steps. Would you mind letting us know what you've tried so far? That way we can avoid repeating any steps. We recommend, if you haven't yet, to perform a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on the device you connect to your car. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date, and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. You can see the steps for a clean reinstall here.

 

If the above doesn't do the trick, would you mind sending us the make/model and OS of the device you connect to your car along with the Spotify version you're running there? It'd be awesome if you could double-check if this is happening if you connect a different mobile device to your car to see if you notice any changes.

 

Lastly, please let us know more details about how you connect your mobile device to your car. Are you using AUX or USB cable? Do you use Spotify Connect or Bluetooth? Please send us the details.
