My Question or Issue

I CAN`T LISTEN TO A NEW PODCAST EPISODE THAT HAS BEEN PUBLISHED TODAY By "Rediseñando Arquitectura"

This is the exact problem I had yesterday. I have updated my app. The issue was supposedly resolved yesterday (and I got to listen to my podcast yesterday) so I don't know why it's happening again.

I uploaded my podcast on anchor. But when I go back and try to play it on my desktop or iOS. It won’t play.

A few hours ago I uploaded my podcast the way I always do, it seems to be there, but no one can listen to it. As soon as pushing play, it skips to the next song or episode.

My Question or Issue

I’m trying to play the latest/newest episode of a podcast called Energy Hospital. I click on it and it won’t play. All the older episodes of the podcast play. Uninstalled app and reinstalled still doesn’t work. Logged out/in nothing

If you're having trouble playing the content you uploaded on Spotify, don't worry! We understand how frustrating it can be when your episodes or songs aren't working properly, especially after investing time and energy into creating and publishing your content.

The first thing to check is if your upload was successful. Sometimes, the upload process can take a little longer than expected and it may take a few hours for your content to be available for playback. So, wait a bit and check again later.

Another thing to check is if your content is set up correctly. Make sure the privacy and distribution settings are properly set and that you have selected the correct distribution platforms for your content. You can also check if your content is listed in your playlists and other Spotify platforms to ensure it's visible to your listeners.

If you're still having issues, it may be helpful to check for any error messages in your Spotify for Podcasters account or your general Spotify account. Additionally, try updating or restarting the app to see if that helps resolve the problem.

If all else fails, don't hesitate to contact Spotify support. They will be ready and willing to help you solve any issues you may be facing.

I hope these tips help you solve the problem and that you can get back to sharing your content with your listeners soon! Warm regards and have a great Friday!

Hey @SCollen,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. Would you mind sending us the make/model and OS of the device on which you noticed this behavior, along with the Spotify version you're running there? Is this happening on more than one device?

On another note, since you mentioned this was happening yesterday, but it was resolved for a moment, would you mind clarifying to us if perhaps you performed some troubleshooting steps? If you haven't yet, we'd suggest performing a clean reinstall of the app on the affected device to see if you notice any difference.

Lastly, is this happening with a specific podcast episode, or does it happen no matter what podcast content you try to play? If this is happening with some specific podcast, it'll help us if you send us the link to it. You can do it by following the steps in this article.

Hey there,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

Just to confirm, is the podcast not appearing within the app? In some cases, it can take up to 24 hours for new episodes or other changes to reflect on all platforms. You can read more about it here.

If the above doesn't fit your scenario, we'd suggest taking a look at some of these articles to see if you find something along the lines of the behavior you're noticing. You can also contact our Spotify for Podcasters team, so they can help you check more thoroughly what might be happening. You can learn how here.

Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.

Hi there @pdr_poj-4dtod

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please provide us the following:

  • What's the exact behaviour? Does it refuse to start when you click play? Is it greyed out? Is it missing entirely?
  • Is this on all devices or only on specific one(s)?
  • When did this start happening?
  • Is only that one episode affected?
  • Screenshots or a video of the behaviour

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.

Keep us posted.

I had this issue today. Just uploaded an episoder through Spotify for podcasters and it's not playing for anyone. It plays on Apple podcasts, and it plays on my Spotify for Podcasters homepage. What do I do?

Same here, any other episode works, and once it’s been there for a day it can be played, but the ones uploaded freshly can’t be played until it’s a day old.

New podcasts will NOT play on any of my devices including: iphone, desktop, and web application. I have clean reset iphone app and signed out and back into all platforms and new episodes still wont play. Problem has been occurring for 3 days now. Please help!

Same thing here! I publish my podcast on Spotify and it only publishes my title and not the parts to my podcast! It plays and disappears

Hey folks,

Thanks for your replies.

First up, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app on your devices to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

If this doesn't do the trick, could you send us all the info @Joan asked for previously? We'll take a closer look.

Keep us posted.
