Not receiving notifications of ANY new music by artists I follow

That's a good last resort but it's not very convenient. Why should you have to outside you streaming service to get artist updates for artists your following within you streaming service? And is swarm accurate? I see a number of artists I'm not following in mine and I'm not sure all I am are updating. Would it not better serve all to simply have the bell reinstalled? It's like going to buy a new car and being told you have to go elsewhere for the drivetrain.

1. Any new album/song/artist just released.  The only way I ever know about some of them is in the Release Radar playlist every Friday.

2. App and Email

3. Never arrives

4. 239

5. Zero - stopped getting them at all

Me too having this issue. The notifications in app are dismissed? This would be very disappointing. 😞

1) I haven't received any notification of any kind from Spotify for now months.

2) I don't know how many artists I follow, but a lot. I often hit the max saved songs and I have to unsave old tracks and albums to keep saving new songs in my library.

3) I have a premium account, and the least would be to know the new albums out of the artists I follow

Same issues here. I dont get notified of any new music via Android push or email.

I also don't get any notification emails despite subscribing to them. I follow 411 artists currently but stopped receiving emails quite some time ago. Never getting notifications, disliking it a lot.

Unfortunately there is no good substitute for the bell icon that was essentially an inbox for your artists new releases. swarm.fm is what Spotify will direct you to but its flawed in that its showing both artists that you are following and those you are not. If you add them all to Spotify without checking which you are actually following you wind up with recommended artists as well. Differentiating between the two requires enough back and forth clicking to dissuade you from using the service. Spotify has "Release Radar" that updates on Mondays but here to there seems to be a flaw in that it seems to retain releases for more than a week. As you are using it you find yourself adding tracks to playlists you've already added. This is a problem because you can be adding tracks back you have already determined you don't want. A better system would be if "Release Radar" have four updates per month as in one per week with each week separate and present.

As it is now its also confusing when an artist releases tracks with the same cover art. Without a photographic memory it would be challenging to know which is a new single versus one that hasn't left the "Release Radar" list. All of this would be made simple if the bell were restored. Unfortunately streaming services keep putting more emphasis giving you music their way such as in recommendations, what's popular and what's trending as opposed to listing all releases according to genera for each week. This is how the really good stuff is found. As it is now they do list weekly but leave out a significant amount of the artists that actually have new released music even though they have that music available in Spotify.

I don't receive any notifications for new songs released. I used to get them last year but now they just don't come at all. I have all the needed settings turned on and even tried downloading the app again.

1. Cousin Stizz
2. Phone or email but I don't get either ( but would rather get the notification on my phone )
3. Never arrived
4. I am only following 1 which is Cousin Stizz
5. I have had the Spotify app for almost a year now and in that time period I've never gotten a single notification

I'm not getting any notifications in my email anymore i use to get them weekly on friday.  It's been about two months now.  This is sad.  Swarm.FM doesn't even work for me!

Exact same thing here, and it sucks a lot.

I have every possible notification setting turned on, incl. email and push notifications on iphone. i get zero, not even the weekly radar; it's just dead silent. i've delved into the notification settings on the phone and within the app and i still get absolutely nothing from spotify; i often find releases weeks or months after they were online simply because i didn't know they were out. this is completely unacceptable and if there's no fix i'll be switching to apple music which at least has a feed of new music + content.

Same for me for about a year.. Not a single notification or email. I have all enabled correctly, tried even reinstalling the iOS app to trigger the "Allow notifications" prompt again, and I have every single checkbox enabled in notification settings. I have close to 100 artists that I follow and I havent received a push notification or email for about 1 year.

Same for me for more than a year.

I used Spotify for following artists and I am unable to find other software to do so.

I am interested to know the limit for the number of artists to follow to have notifications.

I am very disappointed for this function not to be usable anymore on my case.

I don't get any notification too

The simple workaround is click on "Browse" then "Release Rader" and you will find new music from all the artists you are following. It updates every Friday.

Paul C.

I've not received one single email from spotify ever.  No notifications, no nothing.  I have all the notification options set to "on", and have tried a couple of email addresses, also checked spam folders.  Nothing.

still not receiving any updates

no emails no push message

please fix this because for now i'm only following 5 artists

not much right

The notifications you want can be found at Release Radar. It updates every Friday and contains the releases from the artists you are following. To find Release Radar click on Browse on the left of the webpage, then Discover at about the center of the page, then Release Radar. You should also click on Discover Weekly right next to Release Radar if you haven’t. It has matches based on who you are following.

Not the same. We want specific information, like at recordbird.com
When, which artist will, or has released a single, an EP, or an album.
When Recordbird.com says something new has been released, that unfortunately does not mean that it was also released on Spotify. Ergo, we are not being updated in a professional manner.
Release Radar has SOME of my artists new music, but by no means all. And if you dare not check it every week, because your life got in the way, you have missed the songs and there is no archive.
Discover weekly appears to be a collection of songs from artists that I and or my circle of friends are already listening to.
All in all I feel like I am being played. Spotify used to deliver exactly the information that we here all seek. They just found a way to make it way harder to get the info we need. And we already know that it is technically possible. We can therefore only assume that spotify is making more money out of this information instead of allowing us, the paying customers, easy access to it.
And that sucks.
