Nuclear Blast unavailable

Nuclear Blast unavailable

Since yeterday I'm not able to play most of Nuclear Blast albums. The error message is either "song is unavailable" or "song is unavailable in your country". This includes all Eluveitie albums, Toumas Holopainen - Lise and times of Scrooge, and probably some others (finding them as we speak, Epica seems fine, if their Spotofy collection is rather small, if it should include most of their albums, they're gone for me as well - I don't have them saved in my library, so I can't even see them enymore).

Can anyone tell me what is going on?

BTW, my country is Poland.

EDIT: inb4 clear chache: tried Windows client, android and web player. All the same.

hi there,
patrick (nuclear blast) here. sorry for not getting back to you guys earlier! as you can see we‘re having a couple of issues with our digital catalog right now but we‘re working on it and please rest assured that all albums will come back in the coming days, hopefully sooner than later...
thx for your support and your patience and sorry again for this mess!

Hello Patrick:

First off, thank you for providing us an update regarding the digital
catalog progress from Nuclear Blast. I personally appreciate you taking the
time to be giving us an update.

As you probably are aware, most of us did contact NB regarding these
issues. I understand that certain areas require time for management and the
processes to take place, however, if I may speak for those on this thread,
I do not feel as if the NB response was strong nor did it show any regards
to us Heavy Metal consumers.

We are long time consumers of NB materials since back during when material
was prominently physical. We would have appreciated a stronger response
with a more detailed action plan in which NB and the new distributor
(whoever that is) is currently undertaking.

Again, thank you Patrick for taking time out to respond to our queries. I
can honestly tell you I am very appreciative of this. I feel that the
overall response from NB, however, was lacking.

If at all possible, we would like to hear regular updates regarding the
status of all action plans currently being implemented as well as how
effective said actions will be monitored from both NB and the new
distributor.

Thank you.

Hi folks!

I, as some some others in this community, have contacted NB about this
issue and that was their reply:

"Thank you for your message. We’re currently in the process of changing our
distributors for all streaming services, so it might happen that albums
disappear for a while. The albums should be available again by the end of
next week. If that is not the case, please let me know and I will see to it
that they will be online again.

I also forwarded your Mail to my colleague responsible for Spotify and
other streaming services, and also know that my colleagues at Nuclear Blast
US and our distributor are currently working hard on making all albums
available again as soon as possible.

If you could also please let us know, which albums by Sabaton, Edguy and
Sonata Arctica are missing exactly, that would also be really helpful as it
would help to speed the process up.

I apologize for any inconveniences.

Best Regards"

I will inform them about the tracks that I'm aware that are missing.

As I have mentioned before my hopes are that this problem will be fixed
soon. So I'll wait till next week. After that, if the problem persists, I
'll think about my subscription to the premium account.

Other users: Please provide any items that may be missing.

Thank you

I live in North America, and it's not just Genexus that's missing. It started with Mechanize and the Industrialist several weeks back, and in the last few weeks Genexus disappeared too.

If you count Archetype and Transgression, which were never available on Spotify to begin with, there are now five whole Fear Factory albums unavailable to stream on Spotify. Despite their irritating interpersonal drama and inconsistently good output, Fear Factory is one of my favorite bands, so that's disappointing to me. All we have right now are their Roadrunner records.

I've emailed Nuclear Blast for comment.

The problem still persists. Seems we have to wait till the end of the week, as they have said!

My country is the Netherlands.

I will be waiting until the end of this week per Patrick and Nuclear Blast.

Thank you

Catalogues are still unavailable. Any update patrick? Please provide.

I am missing stuff from Equilibrium and Eluveitie, probably way more but those two artists I have noticed. Please provide an update! I want to listen to Heavy Chill!

US here, adding a couple missing NB albums I noticed thanks to my own playlist:
Meshuggah - I Special Edition (Pitch Black/The live versions of Bleed/Dancers), Nothing Remastered/Expanded
Fear Factory - Nearly all of Genexus as mentioned before, Mechanize besides Industrial Discipline (albums for the band visible on the main page are only up to 2003 releases)

Still plenty of Nightwish gone, too.

End of the week came and went.

Twice.

LOL.

It seems that the label Spinefarm is missing some albums as well. They are also rock/metal oriented.

For example, Finntroll has some albums available, but Visor om Slutet (produced by Spinefarm) is missing, which wasn't the case before.

Already sent them a message.

On a side note, if you check their signed bands, Nightwish (amongst others) is mentioned as Alumni (formerly signed).

Perhaps this is the reason some earlier albums from them are missing as well, as Spinefarm might be the label responsible for those albums?

That's a shame! I wonder how Patrick, from Nuclear Blast, is doing!? He just went so silent ...

hi everyone,

patrick here again 🙂 thx, i'm doing well! hope you are fine as well. however we're still in constant stress trying to finaly get this rectified with our digital distributor which is a shame that it obviously takes ages... 😞

sorry for the late reply once again, i've been travelling a lot recently and am always trying to catch up on emails and keep you posted here now, too. crazy times right now... 😕

one of the main problems here is that it's such a large amount of releases missing that they can only be fixed in smaller batches which takes week after week.

just to be clear, i never said this will be set end of any week, i said "in the coming days" as i don't have any clear ETA from the distributor myself and new additions to our list of missing titles are coming in almost each day but we're gettin there and we can see a light at the end of the tunnel finally.

sorry that i don't have any better news for you so, thx a ton for helping us in sending any gaps that you were noticing all the time (this was at least speeding up that whole process a little) and again, your patience is very much appreciated.

believe me, i'm at least as **bleep** off because of this as all of you combined as my team has to deal with these issues each day for weeks already!

however now i'm positive that we're finally close to finalizing this, even if i may sound like a broken record more or less...

thank you so much, have a good week and take care! 🙂

cheers,

patrick

Woa, it seems that we have a little misunderstanding here. And Patrick is totally right. He never said that the issue would be resolved in a week, nor in two either.

In fact, as I've posted, that declaration was made by someone that repplyed me when I emailed Nuclear Blast about the issue, 2 weeks ago. Sorry if this did fell on you, Patrick!

And I believe that we all know that these are some stressing times for you and your team. Well.. at least most of us believe in this. But thing is that we're in the dark here, as the lastest news we've got were from you, two weeks ago too. We all want the problem solved, but while this isn't properly addressed some more communication would be appreciated.

And thank you once more for sharing info with us.

Thanks for the clarification. It is true that nothing was promised, however
as consumers of these catalogs we deserve to have regular updates. We
understand the stresses involved in meeting these deadlines, but
nonetheless the least we can hear are updates regarding the current state
and what will be done for prevention which is just as important.

As mentioned further communication would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps
even tasking us, the consumers, which action items would even be
worthwhile.

Thank you

Hi Patrick thank for you updating us and continuing to work on these issues :).  Is there any hope for seeing the missing albums from Decrepit Birth and Origin?  These two have been missing from my daily life for a while now lol

Will this mean that Fear Factory albums under Nuclear Blast will be returning eventually and also Sepulturas Dante which has never been on Spotify

Well, the weird things continues to happen. Here I was listening Reckoning Night, by Sonata Arctica, and just found that the tracks Shamandalie and Wrecking the Sphere are missing.

Just sharing the info with you all =P
