Offline - can't play downloaded music

 

 

My Question or Issue

When my phone is offline, I can't play downloaded music.  Can you let me know how to fix? Thanks.

Hey there @sgriffin,

 

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome. 

If you haven't yet, you can start by clean reinstalling the app on the affected device. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the stored cache is not leading to this behavior. 

Note: you'll need to re-download any downloaded content after reinstalling the app.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

  • The make/model and OS of the affected device. 
  • The exact Spotify version you're running there.
  • Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update?
  • Do you see any errors when trying to play content when offline?

We've received reports in this thread from Android users mentioning issues while trying to play downloaded content. If perhaps you're using an Android device, we'd suggest you post there with the info we've requested.
