Offline on Windows

I don't understand how to use Offline mode on my mobile. Whenever I go out to town or college, I put my spotify playlists on available offline. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, it just randomly stops playing. I dont know what to do because it's annoying. I have a Nokia Lumia 625 and it is a Windows phone. If anyone can help that would be great, thanks.

It's not possible to shuffle through the offline songs.

Also while I'm offline, the downloaded songs disappear for no reason and come back when I got online again, it's very annoying.
