Hey there @PinballFreak,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, we'd suggest you perform a clean reinstall of Spotify. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this behavior. Additionally, we'd suggest you make sure your Chromecast is up-to-date.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

  • The exact Spotify version you're running on your mobile device.
  • The model of your Chromecast.
  • Do you notice any difference if you switch the internet connection you're using? If possible, you can create a hotspot with a cellphone.
  • Does this happen when playing some specific playlist?

I have the same issue. What ever play context I start from (playlist, album, ...), and play on Chromecast, the play que is just that one track long. If press the next track in the playlist/album and then go back to the first, multiple tracks will be played afterwards, correctly.

Hey there @trippledot,

Thanks for your reply.

Just to confirm, have you tried cleanly reinstalling the app on the affected device? We'd recommend doing it, so you can make sure you're running the latest version of the app and the stored cache is not leading to this behavior.

If the above doesn't do the trick, it'd be awesome if you could send us:

  • The make/model and OS of the device with which you control the Chromecast.
  • The exact Spotify version you're running there.
  • Do you notice any difference if you switch the internet connection you're using? If possible, you can create a hotspot with a cellphone.
  • Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update?
