Playing Local Files Via Chromecast Audio/Google Cast

Until very recently, I have been able to play Local Files from my PC, which are in my playlist, through speakers in my house, linked with Chromecast Audio. Suddenly, when I try to do just this it will not work and I receive an error stating 'Sorry! You can't play this content while connected to another device.'. It appears only songs actually on Spotify can be broadcasted to other devices. 

I have the same issue if I try and play music from my phone through the same speakers. 

Any help for this?

Hi there!

Local files aren't supported for Spotify on Chromecast. It can just play songs from the Spotify library.

Hmm...if that's the reason, why has this error only just occurred? I was able to Cast local files beforehand.
