[Playlists] Playback Options- Reverse

Add an option to play music playlists in reverse order (in addition to in-order and shuffle). Perhaps a "Sort" feature could be added within the playlists themselves, with the ability to sort the songs within the playlist by certain criteria to manipulate the order in which the songs are played back.

Hey @bkll831,

Thanks for posting in the community and welcome.

We hope you don't mind us moving your post out of the ideas section to one of our Help boards as it fits better here.

That being said, we'd like to add that the idea you kindly suggested is already possible within the app. So, you can sort by Custom order, Title, Artist, Album, Date added, Duration. You can find this sorting option at the top right of a playlist in the desktop app, and it looks like this:

In the mobile app version, you'll have to scroll down and you'll see the sorting option at the top right as well. By hitting the sort button, you'll see the options. It looks like this:

To reverse the order of any sort option, click the given option again to reverse the order; it looks like this (same in the mobile app version):

You can read more about sorting options and filters in this interesting article.

We hope you found this helpful. Let us know if you need anything else.

That's okay... but there is still no way to reverse the end of year playlists.  There is no "date/time added" in the lists. We'd like to play songs number 100 down to 1, instead of 1 to 100.

Hi there @wjd119,

Thanks for the reply.

You can leave your feedback and request for the option to sort your Top Songs of 2023 in this feedback thread. Multiple users have also requested this over the last months. The user comments from that thread are regularly checked by the developer teams 🙂

Cheers.
