My Question or Issue

I cannot for the life of me get a podcast to just play on the webplay or on the desktop app. I am not connected to a VPN. I have cleared my cache. I have signed out and back in. I have deleted and reinstalled the desktop app. Podcasts will either not play at all, or they will play in 3-second(ish) snippets and then stop again. This happens across multiple episodes of multiple podcasts. It's making Spotify completely infeasible for podcast listening.

Hey there @1251065344,

Thanks for the post.

Can you let us know if this is happening with Video or only audio podcasts? You can send us links to some podcast episodes which won't play for you and we'll check it on our end as well.

Cheers.

I haven't tried any video podcasts.

Some of the episodes it's happening on:

Land of the Giants - How Apple Got Its Groove Back; Apple Saved Music. Why Not TV?; it happens almost constantly w/ this podcast. I can pretty much only listen to this podcast on my phone.

Most Notorious! - 310: The Rise of Terrorism in the 19th Century;

Criminal: Episode 193: A Ring and a Bottle; Episode 196: Hungryland

Hey @1251065344,

Thanks for your reply.

As a next step, can you please check your Windows hosts file using this guide?

Let us know how it goes.
