My Question or Issue

I listen to a lot of podcasts and audiobooks in the form of podcasts, and Spotify keeps playing them out of order. Lets say Chapter 10 ends, and it will then start playing Chapter 9, even though Chapter 9 is marked as played and there is an un-played Chapter 11. I had this issue years ago and it seemed to resolve itself, but it is back again. This happens on both my phone and computer. I have to hand select the next episode every 30ish minutes.

Could you try performing a clean reinstall of the app as described here? Did this bring any change?

 

Does the same experience occur with a different account on the current devices?

My Question or Issue

This issue has been fixed a few times in the past but is occurring again now, where when I play a podcast, say episode 5, once it is finished, Spotify will play the previous episode instead of the next one, say episode 4 instead of 6, no matter what order I've set the podcast list of episodes to (Newest to Oldest or Oldest to Newest). I tried restarting Spotify, uninstalling Spotify, and logging out and back in a few times, but none of that fixed the issue. This has been fixed before, so I'm confident it will easily be fixed again, but it is really frustrating that it keeps happening.
