My Question or Issue

I used to be able to play podcasts on Sonos using Spotify Connect, same as music.  Recently it's stopped being an option - Sonos appears greyed out in the Spotify Connect menu.  This only happens with podcasts, not with music.  It's the same on all my devices.

When playing a song: 
- Spotify Connect is available

- Cannot start a podcast playing

 

When playing a podcast:

- Spotify Connect is unavailable

- Can start playing a song

Could you confirm if you still observe this issue after running a clean reinstall of Spotify? This will remove corrupted data that could be causing the issue and get you the latest app version. 

 

If this persists after a clean reinstall, make sure your Sonos has the latest firmware version. Check out this help page on how to update the device.
