The remote with spotify on Roku is ridiculous almost not worth listening to it at all. So frustrating. I have no problems with netflix.
I know this has been a problem since the beginning, I just can't believe it has not been resolved yet, as I am not the only one having these problems.
Also frustrating it is impossible to find anyone to talk to about this problem. No way to contact spotify.

I don't have any issues with the remote on my Roku. As suggested, can you provide more detail?

I agree. I've been unable to use Spotify for at least a week because of this problem, and a "bug" post (the only option provided by Spotify) has produced no response.
