Notifications stop music playing while connected to a Bluetooth speaker

Same issue, bluetooth JBL speaker, connected, but stops playing music when I get a notification.

We've gone ahead and moved your post to a new thread as the original was quite old.

To start, here are some steps you can try. 

• Go to Settings > Apps > Spotify > Tap on Battery and disable any optimization settings that are on or enable the unrestricted option.
• Adjust your Notification Settings from Settings > Apps > Spotify > Notifications. 
• Go to Settings > Notifications and enable "Do not disturb" Mode.
• Go to Settings > Notifications > select Spotify and make sure to allow notifications or adjust them if possible.
