When I tap Recents, it won't load and it gives me an error: Something went wrong, Have another go? I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and the problem still persists.

My Question or Issue

From the home screen, when I click on my icon and then Recents, I am given the error message, "Something went wrong." I have tried clearing app cache and data, I have logged out and back in, and logged out, deleted the app, and back in. The error persists. Please advise.

Hey @Strobl, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

I appreciate all of the steps you’ve tried and sorry to hear you’re facing this issue. To ensure all our bases are covered, can you please try another clean reinstall of the app following these steps? These steps are more thorough than a simple reinstall.

If you’re still having issues, can you please send me a screen recording of what happens when you try to access your Recently Played? Make sure to hide sensitive info when posting to the Community.

Keep me posted.

For the past several weeks, the "Recents" page on the iOS app under my profile picture on an iPhone is endlessly loading with three dots. I have deleted, signed out, restarted, reinstalled, cleared the cache, etc., and still having the problem.

Hey there @jcrossen1986,

Thanks for reaching out, and kudos for the troubleshooting you've tried!

This behavior might be caused due to some tests with the feature. However, you should be able to find your recent activity directly on your Home screen.

If you're unable to find it, make sure to let us know and send over the exact model, OS version and Spotify version running on your device.

We'll be on the lookout.

I've been having this exact problem since like...I don't even know. If I had to guess, I'd say perhaps November or December...or maybe January. Obviously, I've deleted and reinstalled the app many, many times since then. This is happening on both of my devices — Galaxy A14 phone, along with the Windows 10 desktop app and website. I have premium, and honestly, it's not THAT big of a deal. However, this has been going on for a long while and it still is a bit bothersome...

I COULDNT AGREE MORE… like it might seem silly to some, but some of us USE that recent tab OFTEN… I hate having to grab my phone during every song I enjoy to add it to a playlist somewhere otherwise it’s lost forever… I’m highly considering switching too and I’ve been a premium user since 2012 🙄

Hey folks,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this.

We've heard from our teams that some adjustments have been made to help with this issue, but we can't commit to a specific timeline for a fix. We'd suggest always keeping your app up to date so you don't miss out on any developments.

The Community will be here if anything else comes up.
