Hey folks!
Ever experienced any issues with the ad being in the wrong language, the ad volume and frequency or the content itself?
We're creating this thread in case you're in need of reporting any of those 🙂
Just let us know the following details and we'll forward them to the right teams:
Many thanks!
When I am using Spotify free and an ad tells me I will be getting 30 min ad free after this ad, I should not be getting 2-3 sets of ads during that time. I am not skipping any songs.
Hi Vasil,
Hihi,
Reason for complaint: Ad has too startling an opener. Imagine how rude I would be if I walked up behind someone listening to an audiobook and yelled, "MARCOS PIZZA WAS NAMED AMERICA'S NUMBER ONE PIZZA CHAIN" in their ear. I like Marcos. I like Spotify. This ad is quickly making me want to take a break from both.
Name of ad: Marcos Pizza
Is it a visual or an audio ad: Audio
Rough time & date of when you heard the advert: 11pm 3/31/2025
Device the ad appeared on: Windows Desktop
Its OS version: 10
Your exact Spotify app version: 1.2.6.564.gcc6305cb
I pay for premium Spotify, for a British account with British payment.
I understand some podcasts insert ads in, and that’s fine as usually they are topical (other podcasts by the same studio etc) and more importantly in English.
but now I have started getting ads in Danish, whilst I’m in Denmark, which makes me angry as that’s not inserted by the podcast, it sounds like it’s a Spotify geolocation ad. But I’m paying for ad free Spotify.
- no idea which ad it is as I don’t speak Danish
- no idea which app model I have, I can’t find that info by clicking on the widget?
- using an iOS device
-happens anytime of the day it seems like?
What should I do? Who do I complain to?
thanks
Agree! I personally had a chat session with their "bot" which was useless. There's no way to contact a human there. And the responses from Spotify on this forum show a complete and utter lack of consideration for the customer. I was hoping for a class action lawsuit over the volume issue. Since there hasn't been one yet, my first solution is to close my Spotify account. My second move will be to consult a lawyer on my own. Starting a class action suit costs no money, so eff Spotify. They had their chance (over the span of YEARS) to make this right.
Pffft. Half-a$$ed response.
Recently the adverts inserted into my podcasts cause it to skip to the end and continues playing adverts after adverts until I need to refind the timestamp when it got interrupted. Very irritating especially during a drive.

I keep getting this ad every single time there is an ad break, I have given it SEVERAL dislikes whenever it appears, disliking it because it was not relevant, and because it was being shown WAY too often, yet the ad just keeps being shown to me.
Hi Vasil,
Reason: ad volume is just aggressive coming from a podcast. It's so loud and startling
Ad: Asda
Podcast: happy mum, happy baby
Frequency: every time there's an ad break at least once and it has been twice in one ad break
Device listening on: android app
I keep hearing the ad for Irish Ferries. I am sick to death of it. It heard two ads in half an hour this morning and I am ready to rip off my headphones when I hear that ridiculous woman telling me the English Channel is now known as the Irish Channel. I would sooner swim the channel myself than use this company.
whomever thought it appropriate to put a crying baby in an ad that repeats every other song should be fired frankly
It has NOT STOPPED
Can you not post any horror advertisements.
Hi!
Reason for complaint: The ads of this hospital are wet coughing (multiple times in a row) and baby crying that gives me sensory issues and a general discomfort and no matter how many times I try to down vote the ad it keeps showing up.
Name of ad: Memorial Hermann Hospital
Is it a visual or an audio ad: Audio
Rough time & date of when you heard the advert: Between early March 2025 to when I'm making this comment (April 22 2025)
Device the ad appeared on: Pixel 6a
Its OS version: Android
Your exact Spotify app version: Version 9.0.34.593
It is understandable if this ad was intentionally created like this, I am thankful for whatever changes may come from this.
Reason for complaint: I've heard this ad and only this ad at least 12 times in a row
Name of ad: Atlassian Vanta
Audio ad
Date: 01 May 2024
Last heard: Approx. 0815 hrs (first would have been about 0600 hrs)
Device: Motorola moto g10
OS: Android 11
Spotify version: 9.0.36.697
This ad is driving me around the bend. It is playing back to back and every few minutes, and only this ad.
