Roku can't add tracks to playlist or show Discover Weekly playlist

Roku can't add tracks to playlist or show Discover Weekly playlist

When I attempt to add tracks to a playlist, the "Add track to playlist" popover just lingers with a spinning icon until I get bored and back out of it.

Also the "Discover Weekly" playlist doesn't finish loading.

 

I have the latest version of firmware, the latest Roku app version, I've paid my bill and this all works on the desktop.  Music playback and search work fine.

So what do I do here?  It still doesn't work

From Spotify customer service:

 

"We understand that you feel that this issue needs to get fixed right away directly with Spotify. However, since Roku developed the app for this device, it would be best to reach them to get this resolved."

 

This was at the end of an email chain conversation where they gave me a test account, I loaded it and sent screenshots, etc.

 

So Roku wrote the app and I (and everyone with the same problem) should go over to the Roku forums and get this straightened out.  Let's go!

I have the same problem. Any fixes or workarounds yet? Try contacting Spotify directly and asking for a refund... it got them to fix the iPhone issue I was having after several months of waiting around on the forums.
