Scrobbling titles containing "&" to Last.fm as "+" instead

Hello,

I've noticed that albums containing the ampersand (&) characted in the name are scrobbled incorrectly—the "&" character is replaced with "+" (plus). This makes my last.fm stats wrong and I'm really sad about that.

I turned on the new last.fm scrobbling flow via an actual integration (I no longer have my last.fm credentials inserted in the app settings).

That's a pretty odd issue!

I'm trying with the shortest track of this album

spotify:album:24X4IZGu9QcQ8pVf9dFAGg:small

and the album name that gets scrobbled still has the & in it. No such issue for me.

I'd recommend disconnecting and reconnecting the last.fm app - do this:

disconnect Spotify Scrobbling app (from last.fm), then go to the Apps page of your profile, revoke access for last.fm app and then go back to last.fm to reconnect the app. You'll have to restart your Spotify client as well.

If the issue persists, then I need more information on this 🙂

What device and version of Spotify are you using? Does the same issue happen when you're using Spotify elsewhere too, such as PC?

I'm not sure how this happened but the incorrectly scrobbled album now seems fixed on my last.fm profile. Maybe there was a bug at last.fm.
