Select song from another computer, ends up playing the song twice in a row.

Device: iPhone XR (13.6), MacBook pro (high Sierra), iPad (13.6, 9.3.5)

My Question or Issue:

I have my speakers connected to my iPad running 9.3.5. Whenever I select a song from another computer (across the room, or from my iPhone), the song will play twice in a row on the iPad running Spotify.

If I look in the upcoming song queue I see it's been added twice. Whats up with that?
