Thanks for the update, @TAKE_Yes.
As far as I understand, this workaround with disabling and enabling Shuffle and Smart Shuffle helped with adding new songs to your playlists. Could you confirm if it made an impact across the devices you're using?
On another note, I recommend clearing the cache on your devices as corrupted cached files can cause issues with Spotify's performance and this is recommended from time to time.
Should this behavior start happening again or if you notice it's more frequent, feel free to send us the devices' models and OS versions, as well as the Spotify version you're using.

Hey there @TAKE_Yes,
Thanks for reaching out on the Community!
Just to confirm, does this happen on all devices that you use Spotify on, or just with a specific one? Have you noticed if this happens at any specific points? For example, on all playlists with a certain amount of songs, or just with specific playlists.
Also, does it make any difference to the queue if you toggle Smart Shuffle off & on again a few times?
We'll keep an eye out for your reply!
Hey there,
It happens on all devices, so 2 PCs and a phone. It usually only occurs on any of my larger playlists, any of the playlists under 200 have almost no issue whatsoever with smart shuffle.
I made sure to see if I could recreate it at any point before posting, so I've already toggled Smart Shuffle on and off again, with the same issue happening.
I saw one workaround for it, albeit it was not 100% reliable. I turned off Smart Shuffle and enabled normal shuffle, then I waited about 5-10 minutes and enabled Smart Shuffle again, and it seemed to add it without issue.

Hello again!
I've cleared the cache like you recommended on one of the PCs, and so far I haven't been able to recreate the problem on that one. That might've been the issue, I'll try to recreate it on my other PC before and after clearing the cache. I'll send a reply to confirm whether it worked or not.
Thanks for staying on this case so far!
Hey @TAKE_Yes,
Thanks for keeping us in the loop!
We're glad Smart Shuffle is working as it should on one of your computers. Meanwhile, and if this issue persists on your other devices, remember to send us their make/model and OS along with the Spotify version you're running on all of them.
On another note, we'd like to check, has the app always been behaving like this when activating Smart Shuffle or did it start to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? Please send us the details about it.
If this continues after clearing the cache, you can also send us a video recording of what's happening on your side. You can attach the video in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.
We'll be on the lookout!
