Songs restarting on Deon HEOS controlled by Mac or iOS devices

I stream using Spotify Connect from iPad, iPhone, or MacBook to a Denon HEOS receiver. Several times an hour, a song will play for some time, then restart before it finishes. When it does this, the progress/scrub bar in Spotify doesn't show the correct time location; it shows some time after the point at which it restarted.
