Songs won't play longer than 1 second.

Songs won't play longer than 1 second.

I just purchased a membership for Spotify premium, and ever since then, I've been having trouble playing songs. I've tried the app and Web player but nothing is working. Songs would play for only 1 second then skip to the next one. Sometimes a song might play a little longer, but other than that I'm not able to listen to anything.

I recently started using Spotify on my chromebook once again, and I've had no issues with it previously. This is an issue with both the web player and the chromebook application.
First of all, no matter which song I select, the player will start randomly skipping songs as though I had hit the skip button. This can happen anywhere between five and fifteen times. Each song skips after only one or two seconds of playing.
The second issue happens when the player finally stops skipping and settles on a random song. The song plays for about ten seconds before it goes silent, though it says on the progress bar that the song is still going.
I've tried restarting, clearing cache, logging out... everything. What now?

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Can you let us know if you've already tried to log out > restart your device > log back in? It's also a good idea to try clearing your cache to remove any old files that might be causing issues.

It's also a good idea to make sure that the sound drivers on your PC are up to date.

If that doesn't do it for you, could you let us your computer's Spotify version and, if possible, if you experience this on mobile devices as well?

We'll be on the lookout for your answer and we'll see what we can suggest next.
