Sound High Quality (HD)

Hello,

I use a very good hifi système with spotify, and with lot of album  the sound is very poor... For rock or music that cover large sonore spectre and many dB !!

Can you do something? Music without good sound is very sad...i prefer CD at the moment.

My computer sound card is set on 16bits 44000hz (CD quality), i think its the better setting for internet stream. Higher will decrease quality.

The signal (bitratre)  is not suffisant to use higher setting. for comparaison,

CD bitrate is about 1400Kb/s but actually NO internet audio streaming site use better than 320kbps.

Maybe in the futur!

The following information might help you:

Spotify uses 3 quality ratings for streaming, all in the Ogg Vorbis format.

~96 kbps

• Normal quality on mobile.

~160 kbps

• Desktop and web player standard quality.
• High quality on mobile.

~320 kbps (only available to Premium subscribers)

• Desktop high quality.
• Extreme quality on mobile.

I'm French and we are so many people with high speed internet connection (fiber).

My internet lan use maximum 44% and just during one second each track starting.

it's about 85/90mbps.

It's very possible to use better sound quality.

As it we are many that we don't want to use desktop version and it we be very nice to think to us.

so actually HD sound is only available on desktop Spotify version and with Premium account.
